Guitar News is a publication of the Hong Kong Guitar
Information Alliance (HKGIA). Members of the HKGIA used
to receive this journal on a regular basis. However, due
to shortage in resources and manpower, the GIA News will
now be available only through the Internet. This is a somewhat bilingual publication, nevertheless, limited manpower dictates that, for the time being anyway, only the News and Old News section will be presented in both English and Chinese. Otherwise, articles will only be published in whatever languages they were submitted in. We welcome your comments and suggestions. From the Editor:It's been too long--yes, it's been too long since the last issue of the GIA Guitar News came out. We announced the 2nd Hong Kong Guitar Competition in our last issue, and in this issue we're announcing the 3rd Hong Kong Guitar Competition in our News/Announcements section. You can read about what happened in the Hong Kong guitar scene in the intervening time in the Old News section. As promised we're publishing the installing chapter of a monongram on the development of the guitar in Hong Kong in our Featured Articles section, where you will also find two articles (in Chinese) by the Chinese luthier Tong.
